Title : Tele-X!
Filename : TELEX.BSP, TELEX.MAP
Author : Dalias
Email Address : 71614.3257@compuserve.com
Description : A fun Quake sw deathmatch level from
scratch. Based on a great DOOM
deathmatch level, Telecross. And IMO,
it's very close. Enjoy!
Additional Credits to : ID Software, for Quake
Stephen Crowly, for porting QBSP and
LIGHT to DOS.
Juergen Kroder, for making Telecross
for DOOM, on which this level is
based.

* Play Information *
Level Name : TELEX
Single Player : Yeah, if you wanna check it out.
Cooperative 2-4 Player : No
Deathmatch 1-4 Player : Of course! That's the idea...
Difficulty Settings : No
* Construction *
Base : My first version of Tele-X.
Build Time : A day's work for the original.
A few hours adding the textures in.
Editor(s) used : MS-DOS EDIT (Microsoft) <vbg>
QBSP/LIGHT (John Carmack)
WAD2TOOL (Dalias - that's me! :)
Known Bugs : NONE! If any were known I'd have fixed them! :)
* Legal Stuff *
You may distribute and modify this level, as long as you include my
text file and give me credit.
NOTE: I know that ID has supposedly forbidden distribution of
custom levels for the shareware version of Quake in their license,
but that is obviously unenforceable *unless* the level being
distributed includes parts of the original Quake. Now, I have made
MY OWN TEXTURES, so the BSP includes nothing owned by ID, so
I can distribute it! No more messing with trying to get QBSP to
work on it. You may notice that my textures don't seem as 'smooth'
as ID's. This is because I just shrunk the main texture to make
the smaller versions, without any antialiasing. I'll fix that
eventually.
Also, in case you're wondering, I do not wish to decrease players'
chances of registering Quake by distributing levels that work with
the shareware. As far as I know, there is NO WAY to make levels
that require registered Quake. By releasing custom levels for
Quake, I DO hope to convince players how cool the game is and I
definitely hope that you'll register Quake if you're using this
level. If you don't, you're the one hurting ID, not I.
* Extra Notes *
I am not releasing Wad2Tool (may WAD2 builder) yet. It barely works.
I might release the texture wad, daltex.wad, if you really want it,
but some of the textures (ones not used in this level) look really
crappy and I'd like to fix them. :)
